This past Friday was an incredible day for me. After about 2 1/2 years of some serious ups and downs I finally picked up my 69 Dodge Dart GT from the shop that completed what I started. Over the course of the project, the feedback and input I have received from members on FABO has been extraordinary. I couldn't begin to name all the members who offered me advice and input to every question I had. But I wanted to thank a few members specifically. The members on this list either have at least a small part on my car, a big part on my car, or their recommendation was a key to this project. Some of these people may not even remember or realize that I had solicited them for a part or help in some way. (WARNING: This is a long post!)

Needless to say (in no particular order):

barracudakid
Moparparts
RedFish

You gentlemen kicked this project off with the parts necessary to do a floor shift conversion. RedFish you should patent that floor template. Barracudakid, you have a bunch of small parts and nuts and bolts on this car.

I don't know how much stuff I have bought from you, but it is a bunch.

You are the reason there is even a roof on my car. A message from you kept me from scrapping this project all together when you pointed me to a donor roof in Pinehurst. And now it is on this car.

Your stripe adorns the car, and everyone that has seen the quality is impressed.

Kim saved me in the 11th hour when the wiper motor suddenly locked up. This was the last part to go on the car.

Leanna, your handiwork sits prominently displayed on top of the engine. It is the perfect cherry on top.

To everyone else on FABO, thank you as well. So many people here kept me going when I thought about throwing in the towel. I owe a special thanks to an infrequent member here, 68VAHCODE, who became a good friend throughout this process.

And now for some pictures. The first picture is a reminder of my darkest day on this project. But the dawn came.

And here she sits now:

Very well done! Congratulations on building a fantastic ride!!

Awesome job by everyone!
The car is so good that it's going 30mph just standing still!

Ha! Now that is a keen eye. Just so happens that the speedo obviously sticks at 30 and then after sitting the needle will fall back to 0. I think we made the mistake of not lubing the cable when we installed it, so I will have to go back and address that.

All of your hard work and determination paid off in grand fashion!!! Thank you for the awesome pictures and the lovely write up. It's an honor and a privilege to be involved in such a fine piece of machinery. << curtsey >>

Congratulations on finishing the car. I couldn't have done it with what you started with. Magnificent job.

Well, get started on the next one...I have expensive hobbies to pay for!
Seriously, nice work, and nice words. Proud to have played a part in it.

That was a gracious thing to do, thanking notable contributors. FABO FAMILY!!!!

Man that car looks sweet.
I sold my master template to another FABO member a few months ago.
Lets hope he generates Happy Moparing too.

Carl thanks for the kudos, but it was nothing to assist on the project. BEAUTIFUL car btw. I seem to get alot of photos of the wiper motor on the firewall and rarely get to see the whole car LOL THANK YOU!
