So its late in the game but I have a 74 dart sport that my dad bought for me in 97 for my first car. It was a 318 ac auto 8.25 open rear car. We started building a hopped up 360 for it and then after I wrecked what was my daily driver, my dad said no way and sold the 360.then the trans went out in 2000 and it was parked. Fast forward to 2012 and it was brought to my house from dad's garage and parked in mine. Sadly, he passed away in 2013 and never got to see it on the road. That sparked a fire in me to get it going. I changed the rear end to a 8.75 with 3.94 sure grip unit from a 66 charger high performance. Then swapped the bad 904 for a 727 from a truck and started down the "build your own adventure" route as one member called it. I bought a 5.7 HEMI and that fell through. Was high bidder on a totaled srt8 challenger 6 speed car and the auction was pulled with 30 minutes to go! So I started to hop up the 318....then the horse power gremlin got me wanting a stroker...... So I bought a 5.9 to make a 408..... Lots of issues later, I have a complete set of heads that I'm not going to be using and a fresh set of eddy heads on the way. Talk about a money pit! I have made some body modifications along the way. Flip top gas cap, and working on a 67 dart front.... Also making a custom dash too. Will post pictures from the computer later sa my phone is acting up lol

thats it but the halo top is long gone

So today's progress was installing the oil pump and screen and checking the screen depth. 10mm clearance is just right. I Also worked on customizing the GT emblem for the 67 hood. After the paint dries, I'll post a picture

things left to be done before breakin

Install new heads
Install oil pan timing cover intake etc
wire up gauges for the custom dash
wire up electric fan controller
mount electric fans
install pitman arm
clean engine bay
install engine

I'm sure I am forgetting something....

So today's progress was to install the pitman arm and button up the suspension. I was able to accomplish that, but I want to hit the gearbox nut with a pneumatic impact. My electric one is stout but I think the pneumatic one is stronger. However my father in law borrowed my compressor and is out of town this weekend. I did run my bore can down into the fuel tank too. It is pretty clean inside an I don't think it need to be vatted. I will post a video later to show. I bought it off amazon for about 25 bucks and it works on a laptop or smart device with otg output. I can also post a link if anyone is interested

So my buddy Rob (a chebby guy) came over this afternoon and we worked non stop until we had a front end conversion done! I couldn't have done it without his help and we got a lot accomplished. I have painted the passenger headlight bezel to see if I like it better than the black. I'm still undecided, I plan on the fender tops and hood being flat black and if I do the grill body color, then I will do the bumper black. If I go with black on the grill, I will do the bumpers gunmetal grey. Chime in with your opinions please!

It does roll, I have it on stands at the moment to install the sub connectors. As soon as those are done I will get some good pictures outside

So I haven't posted in a while but I've been doing little things here and there. Was having a custom dash made, but that turned out to be a waste..... Ordered one from classic industries and it came with the steering column cover also! The new heads had a bad valve job, so I had to get that fixed. Finally got them installed and made some head way on the dash. Can't upload pics from the phone, so will upload later

Watching--keep posting-gives folks like me ideas to keep going since I'm geographically separated from my toys...

I cheaped out and only ran 3 colors of wire off my guages, but made up for it with using wire labels made from a Brady label maker. I also determined that blue wire end "ferrules" create a semi plug and play harness with the factory round PCB connector.

Here are the pictures. If you use the blue ferrules, make sure to get the 6 way crimper. I have one that crimps them square..... square pegs don't fit in round holes....... I borrowed one to get the proper crimp this way it crimps on six sides making it semi round and they fit much better
