Hey folks, hope y'all are doing well!
It's been a while since I've been on here, but I'm excited to be back and to learn some more info from y'all again. I've had my old '72 scamp since I was 17, and now that I'm 28 that feels like sort of a big deal considering how many other cars have come and gone. I've decided it's time to blow the dust off her and get her back on the road. I miss driving her on a regular basis, so getting it where I can do that in an affordable way is my goal. Here's an old photo of her, not much has changed since this was taken back in high school/first year of college.

Nice car!
Welcome from Georgetown! Bring it out to some shows!
Just google Austin car shows for info.
There are monthly shows this weekend in Georgetown, Leander, Round Rock, and more.
These are just casual come and go as you like shows with no judging or entry fees. Would love to see more Mopars show up!

Saturday

Georgetown Pistons on the Square
Generally an early morning show running from 7-9:30 though listed as 8-10.
Take I-35 to hwy 29. R on 29. L on Austin Ave, R at the Courthouse. We park behind the courthouse.

Leander is 10-12 and easy to find on old 183 at 2243.

Sunday is Round Rock, generally runs 9am to 11 despite listed times. Get off I35 at 620, go right, and take the second right. You'll run right into it.

Thanks for the welcome, guys! I hope I can get her back on the road soon and hit up some of those shows! Right now I am getting ready to pick up a ford explorer 8.8 to put under the car. have a shop lined up to do the axle shortening, I just have to figure out how to get my old Trooper cleaned out enough to fit a huge axle in the back! I'll keep y'all updated!

There are probably more than you think, they just don"get driven much.

What ya got?

Hey KnuckleDuster. I have a 1973 Dodge Dart Sport 340 a 72 Demon and a 70 Dart Swinger. The Dart Sport is a work in progress running and driving car. The Demon is a 52 K mile survivor and the 70 Dart is mostly restored. Have had the 70 for about 25 years, the 72 for about 16 years and the 73 for 6 years.
What do you have? I see in the post it looks like a 72 Duster 340. Cool stuff. Maybe will see you around?

Yeah, 72 340 car, black originally. Had it about 11 years.
410 stroker with aluminum heads, 727.
Love to see pics, especially the Demon!!

Hey KnuckleDuster. Just checking to see if you got the pictures OK. Let me know if you did not.
I did I am very jealous. Those are some nice cars!!
Sorry for the lack of response, been a hellacious couple weeks.

Welcome from North Carolina. I would love to have some brisket, it's been awhile since I have been in your area
