Another senseless street race fatality - midtown Atlanta

I suspect this will get moved to the NP forum sooner or later.
There people can "unload".
Why did we bother anyway?

It will be on national news soon enough.
At this time, I haven't heard confirmation that it was street racing.
But I think we know.
I saw a black Challenger doing stupid on the downtown connector last night.
The Challenger had some sort of small SUV on his tail and the Challenger driver was obviously trying to loose the SUV by cutting for exits at the last moment at high speed. He faked a couple of times before finally getting off with the SUV on his bumper.
 
Yeah, we don't know. The news didn't say why the police hauled away the other Challenger. It could have been anything...even a fight over a girl. Too bad the passenger was killed, but good that he didn't crash into a family of tourists...
 
From Atlanta...I know that stretch of road VERY well. Not a good spot for street racing, if there is one... Wide road but a bad curve...

I remember about a year ago a car went over the Spring St. wall and did a nose-dive into the Connector. Killed the occupants of the car.

I've been working so dang much I haven't heard any updates about this.
