On non stock applications etc the summit kickdown cable is the way to go. Trying to find the stock rod and bellcrank arrangements and making it work with non stock intakes and carbs is impossible, and that stuff is hard to find anymore, and can get expensive. Best left to the resto crowd.
You should double check that part number to be sure though
