Basically missing an ear to bolt to. Nobody has been able to figure it out.

you need a 340/360 driver mount or mod the 318 bracket you have. Install the way you are holding it in pic 1.

340 and 360 (5.9L) blocks do not have a fourth ear on the driver's side.
These photos are of a 340 that was in a B body (340 Super Bee) so the mount is a B type. You will need a 340 - 360 A body type.

Hmm, I'll have to look for one. Another thing, your actual rubber mount, under the bracket...Looks different than mine. Mine is just a flat rubber mount that has a bolt threw the k frame.

You can't use the b body mount he is showing, you need to just weld a peice to your 318 mount.

He has the later "biscuit" mounts, the 72 and earlier cars take the "sandwich" mount that you are referring to.

Here's the 340/360 repro sandwich mounts:

Dang! Those are nice! Unfortunately not in the budget. Gonna try to weld a tab up. Maybe down the road. Thanks for the knowledge as well. Been learning something new everyday with this car!

They are only 18 bucks new at oriellys. I just bought a set for my 74 duster.

I've used 318 mounts on 340's/360's. You don't need to use all 4 holes...... 3 works just fine. I also used spacers when a mount is too wide.

The bracket that crackedback is selling will be a DIRECT bolt in if you don't wanna fool with welding it yourself

You are flat out WRONG!!!

That bracket is what he needs to put a 340-360 in a 67-72 k frames A body. I've been doing them for many years.
73 to 76 360 uses a different mount. Parts house I worked at has two different part numbers!!!! And crackedback you will notice I said 74 360 which is the newer style not the biscuit style you are referring to.

Which is NOT what he is working on for mounting the engine. I've got an 89 360 in a 70 Dart, so I use the spool style with a stock k frame... the engine has NOTHING to do with it. LOL. He has biscuit mounts, therefore you are still wrong no matter how you want to dance around it.

pick your parts, pay your money!

I'm out and another example of why many don't post much "help" in here anymore. Good day folks.
