I have had a GREAT two days with Uli and his wife Irena

Uli and his wife Irina arrived at my house on Thursday 8/29 and stayed with us until this morning Saturday 10/1 at 9am. What a great time we had, and if you have never met Uli and his wife take it from me they are wonderful people. They spent some time with Cosgig then came over to my house, Geof only lives about 1 hour away. The weather here has been terrible, it's been raining just about every day. We did however get in a short pontoon ride and killed a few Heineken's between rain drops. I then took him for a drive through Chrysler headquarters in Auburn Hills and past the Walter P. Chrysler Museum which was not open, they are only open on weekends. That night Irina was tired and just wanted to rest, but Uli wanted to stay up with me and watch Thursday night football so he came upstairs all decked out in his Steelers attire, he is a big Steelers fan and once again we killed a few more Heineken's. Friday morning we had breakfast "doughnuts and coffee cake" and then I took them to the Warren Truck Plant "where the Dodge Ram 1500's are built" that's where I spent 35 years of my life. A good friend of mine Jeff took us for a tour of the plant from start to finish while production was running, Uli really enjoyed that plus they received a few souvenirs to take back to Germany with them. When the tour was done we headed back home they took a few hours nap then I barbecued dinner. My daughter, son in law and grand kids " 5 and 2 1/2 years old" came over to meet them and we talked and goofed around with the grand kids all night, Uli and Irina slept good last night, my grand kids wore them out. This morning Uli and his wife were up about 7:00am we had coffee and breakfast and then they hit the road at 9:00am heading to Pittsburgh, they are going to the Steelers game on Sunday then after the game they are going down to Tennessee. I snapped a few pictures along the way so you guys could enjoy them also, Uli and Irina also brought us some souvenirs from Germany which my wife and daughter along with the grand kids loved, what great people they are.

We had a great visit with them as well ! They are such wonderful people, and we were sad to see them go!! Thanks for taking such good care of them Bob, they were a blessing to have and I'm sure you feel the same!!!

Yes we do Geof. It was sad to see them go and they both had some tears when they left, I don't think that was the rain.

Nice of you guys to show some A-Body hospitality to our friends from across the pond...
