So today did not go as planned. Started installing the inspection plate and the starter. The starter does not fit. Supposedly a "Mini" starter, I had the take a plastic extension off to fit it in-between the headers and steering. Once I got it up into the hole, none of the bolt holes lined up. It was hitting a bit on the block and I did hit it with a Dremel but still no dice. Spent about 4 hours under it trying to get it to work but nothing. Went to the parts store and got a new starter for a 97 dakota, sounds like they may be a bit smaller. Hopefully this will fix it.
