hmm...so they are noisy like the Extreme energy cams from comp?
Thats odd i know of 2 mopar cars with those cams and no noise. There not useing adjustable rockers, maybe thats the problim with noise, you dont get the lash right then theres your noise.

I have no idea if they are noisey.

This I know. These voodoo lobes (great marketing right there) are supposedly a fast ramp. ANY fast ramp lobe will make noise. It's the deal you make.

If you don't want any valve train noise, get a stock OEM cam.

I have 703 .513 lift one in my 340 6 pack duster. It's very quiet. Pulls great through the rpms as well. Stock rockers btw

What's so bad about a little valve train noise. My 273 is a bit noisy and quiet when warm but if I run the valves a bit looser it clatters a bit and sounds good.

I have a 703 with adjustable rockers, it clatters a little but not that noisey at all

Anyone here running the 60405? Curious if this much lift will work for .533"/.552" will work with stock length valves. Cam card says 1.650 installed spring height. Asking for a friend, hehe

...really...?(Smile.....).
Valve train noise and engine ping are two different things. I have cruised into a Mopar show and had people follow me asking about my 273. I do the same with early Mustangs with HP289's

Real high performance engines make all sorts of noises. From the steel timing chain and gears, to the HP oil pump, to the roller rockers and fast ramp camshafts. Also from increased clearances with forged pistons.

If you want a quiet engine, perhaps find another hobby.

Ran the 403 in my 416 when I first built it..ran the 404 in the same engine..ran the 405 in both the 416 and my 360..NO noise to speak of!!!

Question for the experts. Looking at the Lunati 60404 or 60405. My current engine rebuild is already headed in a totally different direction than originally intended due to the crank and 1 rod being bad. Anyhow, will this cam work with a stock based head with stock length valves? 60404 has .513"/.533" lift, 60405 has .533"/.552" lift.

Probably not without the guides being milled down.

ok, that doesn't bother me so much. My heads already have stainless 2.02/1.60 valves installed and don't want to replace them with longer valves.

I have got one the 405 its quite in my 418 stroker

..do the the Voodoo line of cams produce any valve train noise?
'Voodoo line' of cams covers a lot grinds, so maybe specify solid, hyd, etc . I can tell you a voodoo hyd roller w/ .585 lift is pretty quiet, and a voodoo solid that's no more or as noisy than a solid purple shaft...which is a tickity little sucker.
