Just another thing to think about . If you have a pin on hood when you remove it , where do you put it ? Sitting it on edge will mess up the hood corners , if you lay it on the ground some one might step on it ,place it on top of the car but the wind might blow it off . My hood was on a race car , I glued pieces of foam on 4 locations under the hood so it could be set on top of the car but still had to watch the wind and the foam got dirty . Just a thought if your car is not going to be a full time race car the bolt on hood would be a better option , take the stock hood springs off and use hood pins on the front edge of the hood , when you open the hood make up a couple of prop rods to go over the hood pins and thru the pin holes in the hood again food for thought been both directions with hoods and deck lids .
