Hi Guys,

Shoot me a PM. I've been working on some cooling ideas myself

Don't know if I'll be bringing my car there much. I was thee Saturday & was talking with the Gilbert police officers. While I was there I noticed they had a flyer just sitting on a chair advertising their upcoming car show. Nothing was said about it until I saw it & asked. The Officer gave me some info & left it at that. While I was there some woman from McDonalds came up to him & had one in her hand. She confronted him about it, saying he wasn't allowed to give them out. He said he didn't but had gotten permission from someone anyway so he didn't see a problem. She got visibly upset & said :" Well, I'M the one in charge here and you can't give these things out!" He apologized for anything she thought he did wrong & was all set to leave.
Now clearly he wasn't GIVING these things out as he didn't even offer me one. Yet somehow this woman felt (?) this guy was doing something wrong.
Now for me, I'm not going to support any place that is so blatantly dictatorial as to jump down someone's throat over a simple flyer--especially when it's for a good cause and the show is so far away & later in the year as to not effect attendance at the Pavillons.
One guy not bringing his car isn't goig to effect a thing, but I thought it WAS worth mentioning......

In charge over someone giving a flyer out in a public parking lot?
That's funny right there.
I almost came down for this one, but still 90 at 7pm?
No thanks. :D

Ya can't make this stuff up! She seemed awfully upset over it, IMO. I have my own opinion why she did it, but the officer didn't mind so I didn't say anything, although it was tempting. It seems now, depending on who you are or, I guess, you must meet some mystical "standard" or the McDonald's people will throw you out.........

Usually there are only two motivators for this type of behavior.
1. She has some financial stake in it.
2. Some form of power trip. (psych issue)

Being that she apparently works at McDonald's I'd guess it's the later.

So, who did the Pavilions last night?
Mopar nite is the 3rd Saturday of the month. It seems that most here wait for Mopar nite before driving down there. I may be wrong but that is the way it seems to me.

Here's a couple upcoming shows....

Thanks for the "heads up" Unfortunately both cars are torn down for maintenance. Still waiting on the seats for the vert and I'm doing some cooling upgrades on the Dart

Anybody planning on attending Mopars 4 Mutts next Saturday? I be heading that way with the Dart... Sounds like a good time now that its cooling down!

Dave,

Dave,

I might, as I need to come down that way sometime soon anyway.
Still have the chair in my trunk from last years event. :D

Mopar Night is always a great show there. Easily 300+ cars & 100+ Mopars :D

Hope to see & meet more FABO members!

There's a carshow Oct 22nd, 9AM-2PM at PalmValley Church on Litchfield and I-10 if anyone is interested. I have mine entered. Last year saw quite a few cars of all flavors, so this year, hope its the same.

Post some pics of the awesome rides you have in Arizona. I haven't been there in several years but remember seeing some really nice cars

That is two beautiful cars. I'm sure there are others

I will be there walking around, none of my cars are able to be driven at the moment.
