"Do unto others" covers almost everything a society needs, but that doesn't stop them either.
Personally I am a "Do unto others" person until it becomes "an eye for an eye"
There is no "turn the other cheek" in my vocabulary.

"do unto others" covers just about everything BUT God has also instituted a system of government which is able to deal with trespasses in a punitive way (an eye for an eye)
this allows for justice while preventing vigilante style "justice"
