It is with a heavy heart that we had to help our oldest boy Pepper

cross the Rainbow Bridge this morning. He's been with us 14 years 7 months and a few odd days. When he was in good health, he ruled the roost over 3 female dachshunds! RIP!
 
Sorry to see this Don. They become such a big part of our lives, it's tough to let them go.
 
Pepper thanks you for doing what's best for him, but I know how sad it is to say goodbye.
 
..so sad,that is tough!
and i can't understand why everyone doesn't have a Dachshund,they make such wonderful family pets.
 
Condolences to you...we're getting pretty close on our old gal...bone cancer :-(
 
I feel your loss. We have miniature Dachshunds #s 6 and 7 now. They are such wonderful parts of our lives. 4 of the prior 5 had to be helped also. It is always a tough thing to do, but you will always have him in your heart.
 
So sorry for your lose..believe me I know the pain your feeling:(:(:(
 
SO hard to do the right thing by our pets.. and it's such a tough emotional roller coaster too. Sad for your loss sir, and glad you have the fortitude.
 
I know Pepper had the best life a dog could ask for, that's what comforts the heart!! He was there for you, and you were there for him, nothing more to do but keep him in your heart forever!! RIP Pepper, and I'm saying a little prayer for you too Don, that God will keep him safe in his new favorite spot and bring peace to your hearts!!!
 
RIP Pepper, these are some of the hardest threads to read and I SO understand how hard it is to do the right thing, thank you Don, you gave Pepper a good home for many years..

Sorry to hear- I know your pain- We had to put our 14 year old Golden Retriever down a few years ago- hard, hard , hard- but she was in so much pain.....
 
RIP Pepper. You have my deepest sympathies. It's one of the hardest things I've ever been through.
 
Sorry for your loss, pets are special, but dachshunds steal your heart.I say this as my almost 10 yr old Roscoe is next to me on the couch (under a blanket of course) and glad he's still here. Only Dachshund owners understand. Best dogs ever.
