Hey Everyone,

Has anyone ever used a company named " themorpardude.com" to get the rally rims ?
I am looking at the 14" rally SBP in a 6" width - I would like to have a slightly wider rim on the rear of my dart providing it doesn't scrape either the leaf springs or the inner wheel opening..... I know it has all to do with the backset but before I get into all that - I was just wondering about this company and if they are dependable and if they make a good product.

thanks Everyone !
Mike

Skip the six inch and get a seven. It will fit in there with a 245 tire. Summit has Wheel Vintique 14x7 in a SBP Rallye ($104).

Hey CUDA69
thank you for the info ! I'll take a look at them - one thing - I should be able to run a 60 series tire in the 7 inch width, correct?

i talked to him and decided to go with wheel vintiques... very happy with the wheel i went with.
the mopar dude (when i talked to him atleast) only took paypal so you were on the hook for the extra 3% over his price..

245/60r14
The "245" is a reference to the witdh of the tread pattern in millimeters......
The "60" series is a reference to the height of the tire...
So multiply the width by .6 and multiply that number by 2 then add the rim size and that will give the total height of the tire

I have a set of 7s I do not have a use for. If you need back space measurements I can check them.

Hey Everyone
Thanks for all the info you have given me but I am still a little confused ..........What I am trying to accomplish is to have a little wider tire on the rear of my 68 dart gt.......... right now I have P205/70R14 tires on a set of Rally 14" SBP rims which I assume have the factory back spacing. On all the tire charts I see, I can't run a set of P225/70R14 tires on a 5.5 inch rim as it is to narrow. As mentioned above in other posts - I have found two company's that sell a 6 inch wide Rally rimw/ SBP which would work with the 225/70R14 tire but I don't know what back space I should have - I currently have from the inside of the current tire - 205/70r14 about 1 1/2 inches to the leaf spring and about 1 3/4 inch from the sidewall to the inner 1/4 lip on the wheelwell - I can't cut the lip on the 1/4 panel because I have chrome wheel opening moldings to put on the car. My question is:

When a rim has a higher number on the back spacing, does that mean the rim will stick out closer to the 1/4 panel lip OR will it stick out closer to the leaf spring?

This is not a race car - simply a cruse night car and tooling around town car - no plans to race as it has a 318 V8 !

Thank you very much everyone !

Mike
