Nice to be coming outta the funk

I like it Rob! You gotta love that light/little 8.2" deck height engine for fitment is those small spaces. :thumbrig:

I watched the NHRA qualifying in Atlanta live on ESPN3 earlier this evening and they asked Kurt Johnson what him and his Dad had been up to lately. He said they had done a project with a few all aluminum LSX (Chebbies) for a autocross client. They made 800hp & 650 tq. While not shocked by the power, I was absolutely floored when he said they weighed 397lbs.......Mind boggling to me :banghead:.

I hear that's about right. Makes you wonder doesn't it? Mopar could do something similar.

Thanks for the kind words.

Good goin Rob. Don't see many Bobcats around anymore. Sounds fun!!

Hadn't seen one in years either but last month looking for an old New Holland skid steer I wax told about the guy had a red Bobcat sitting in the yard too.

I always thought it would be cool to build a V8 pinto, had a model of one back in the 70's with a blown engine sticking out the hood

Cool is cool doesn't matter the name on it.

Seen a BLOWN 540 cu. in. Boss 429 base with 1,000 HP in a guys Fairlane at the Mecum auction.

You really need to google blown boss 429 Fairlane and look at this monster. The car is beautiful, white black vinyl top and interior.

I ask him what he does with it, said it will get about 8mpg if he keeps his foot out of it and runs on 93 pump gas and he will drive it once a month about 50 miles for a cruise night. Plus take it empty parking lot and SMOKE the tires all the way across it. This guy is really cool and builds fantastic cars.

HOW COOL IS THAT!

Hell yes I would drive it!

That sounds wicked. I don't really care what anybody says. There are cool cars of every make.

I do ,love the funk...('sThe O.P's intention, and the soulful R&B and funk music.). A Chev LS weighted, hat,and can deal with turbos?Damn. Still love this build, sneaky as ...(choose your adjective...). Thanks,

looks like i missed a lot ground in six months but its good to see you working on something that is still cool .....any progress?

are you planning a tunnel ram ?

No. The only Mopar I have now is my rat truck.

No, not this time. All under the hood. Going to try and make it look as factory as possible. No progress for a bit. Hit a snag. It may have to sit a while. Nothing new for me.

More rat truck progress. Kitty and I made fenders for the rear tires out of a 55 gallon drum and rear view mirrors from headers flipped upside down. Slow, but still forward motion.

That's really creative Rob! I also noticed the 2-man tree saw for a visor! The Rat Truck is going to be awesome one day.

Yes, I forgot to add about the visor. It's dated 1878. Lemmie tell you somethin. I went through every 1/4" drill bit I had burnin through that thing. I even ended up getting a carbide tungsten bit. Cost me 23 bucks and I still burned it up. That blade is made outta some SERIOUS steel.

Rob,
My man, I love those freakin' mirrors!!!! Thats got to be the coolest way to mount 'em! The fenders are pretty slick too!
