Check out this Slant6 drag car One of our Members

Yeah, this guy has put a lot of thought and work into that car AND uses all factory stuff.
Very interesting.

Its a lot milder than you'd think. Quick rundown:
Stock pistons turned around in their bores. File fit cast rings. standard deck
Bowl ported head, stock size ports, back faced valves. .100 off the deck
Comp Cams .440/264 solid, stock rockers and pushrods.
Offy intake, 600 AFB, turned to face north/south. .098 primary, .081 secondary jets. Holley Blue Pump and 5 gallon cell.
Stock single point distributor, Accell coil.
Hooker long tube headers.
273 Commando clutch (slant clutch lasted one test hit)
903 3 speed trans with home made Hurst shifter.
7.25 with 4:10 gear and welded spiders.
Car is light...REALLY light. Don't have a weight number, just have not hit the scales with it yet
All steel and real glass, but you can lift any corner of the car off the ground by hand.
Car has a 175 horse nitrous system plumbed in, but it has not been turned on yet. Saving that for a little grudge action and the "good" motor going together over this winter.
Its a fun, basic, old school build.
