Will this mini starter work?

Will a mini starter out of a dakota with a V6 work on a big block. It is a stock build 440 so it doesn't have a high compression ratio.
 
Yes it should. It's the same starter as the v8. I'm running one in my 440. the only thing I had to do was remove the adapter on the starter (if it has one). It relocates the battery cable and it interfered with block or the headers, I forget which one. But it comes right off.

Ok. Thank you. I thought it would work but wanted to make sure.
