Help with right setup

ive got that cam in my 360 demon with 355s and hughes 3000 torque converter, with those gears you may want to do a cam swap. mine takes off pretty good, but for me that cam doesnt really start pulling til above 3000 rpm

Thats almost exactly what I had in my old '71 Cuda 340 when I bought it, the .484 cam 3.55's and the old B&M Super Holeshot 3500, that worked great on the road, and car ran 13.3's all day long with 26" slicks. Guess its which is the lesser evil for you, gearbox off or cam change but 1 or the other needs to happen, whichever, personally I think the converter route (2800 at least) will wake it up rather than a shorter dur cam in theory cos of the dead gears.....it would've been much better with those 3.91's, taller tyres and a loose converter, but we all have different levels of what we are willing to put up with on the street. Mine was 4k rpm@55mph after I changed to 4.30's and 4200 verter.
