2016 Sema Mopar Hemi Swap

1. No VSS is needed.
I believe there are some cruise control options in the aftermarket for DBW... I swear I saw some at SEMA...

Hmmm...just a quick looks shows something from Dakota Digital for GM's, but didn't look for Mopar stuff. Either way, it does present an idea that I hadn't thought about. I theorized that a PCM would be the only way to control the throttle for CC, but the Dakota Digital setup plugs into the throttle pedal. Makes sense that an add on system could tell the PCM how much throttle, rather than something telling the PCM what speed and PCM determining how much throttle.

Still need a hook up to the brake (and clutch) switches to disengage it, plus a VSS and cruise switch, but those would be needed no matter what.

I suspect the PCM control would be much simpler, but at least it looks do-able now.

2. The STAR connector is really not important for the installer to worry about, it allows communication of the CAN bus between the PCM, DTC(OBDII connector) and the auxiliary CAN blunt ends. (3 connectors total to the STAR, 2 will come plugged in, leave one unplugged to avoid possible noise on the CAN bus from the aux blunt ends)

Ok, so it is CANbus like I speculated. I understand it isn't useful for expansion, but maybe in the future? :poke:

Last thought....wonder if the MP Stage kits could be made to work with this. :D
