1965 Plymouth Barracuda Commando

Hi Everyone,

I've owned this 1965 Barracuda Commando 273 for about 8 years now and it's time to part ways. It has the original 273 v-8 engine, A904 transmission (matching numbers) original paint, and we've been restoring the interior as we went along. Up until about 9 months ago the car was my daily driver, at which point I decided to pull the engine and have a new (318) built (also for sale!). Needless to say, I've gotten in over my head and have run out of money/space/passion for her.

I have about $15,000 in receipts on hand and it's actually registered until Sept 2017. The engine, when I pulled it, would turn over but wouldn't start. I'm not exactly sure what it would need or if its ever been rebuilt. The engine is currently out of the car.

ENGINE: 273 4bbl w/Edelbrock 1406. Before I pulled it, 1 or 2 of the cylinders had lower compression probably from old rings.

RADIATOR: CoolCraft purchased/installed in 2014.

TRANSMISSION: A904. We had it rebuilt about 8 years ago.

REAREND: 7.25 fully rebuilt 2013. New driveshaft as well.

BODY: I'd say 7 out of 10. A little bit of rust bubbles around the rain gutter above the door. My wife ran into a wall a year ago damaging the front, DS fender. It has been professionally repaired and primered, as well as a new front bumper. (It's been sitting in the garage for a 9 months so the pics below don't do it justice.)

INTERIOR: We're about 95% done restoring it back to original condition. We spent thousands of hard earned dollars on getting all matching, original interior. New Carpet. New seats/padding/vinyl throughout. All it needs is the dash pad and someone told me the headliner isn't original (but it's in good condition). A couple of the handles need to be mended or replaced. Has a CD player with decent system (hidden in glove box).

TIRES: Whitewalls replaced about 2 years ago. Original hubcaps all-around.

BRAKES/SUSPENSION/ETC: Front brakes converted to disc. New tie-rods, bushings, ball joints, power steering pump, front end kit, brake hoses, water pump.

There's probably more, but that's all I can think of. It's been a great ride and I hate to see her go. Located in Long Beach, CA. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer.

Thanks.
