Early '71 or late '71?

Or do you care? Difference is in the back frames / button size / hinge covers.

Early style go for more since they are the same for the 1970 model year & the added expense of the 4 separate hinge covers.

The foam & upholstery fits both types the same though. Recovering also available here.

Have a very nice complete set with nice backs, very nice tracks, and very nice hinge covers, all in black. Will need recover but NO rust. $800 plus the ride.

Wow, when it comes to these seats you're like an encyclopedia! These particular seats are for a friend and I don't believe he's that fussy to the exact date since this isn't an original H code Duster that's he's building for his daughter.
I'd love to talk with you since I have a pair that I want to make work in a 71/72 Demon clone and I'd like to know what I have and how to make the 71/71 seat covers work. I can send pics, but I know they have a lift button on the side which tells me they must be from a later model A body. I say 71/71 because I have determined if it will be a 71 or 72 clone. It's currently a complete '72 /6 with a bench seat.
Where are you located?
Thanks
Todd

I am in Shermans Dale, roughly ten minutes north of Carlisle. See the contact info at The 1970 Hamtramck Registry Contact Page to send photos.

Include one photo of each back with the plastic cover removed.

I'm on the road and won't get home until Sunday. I'll get some pics for you.
What do you have in the way of buckets for my friend's 71 Duster and how much are you asking?
thanks

Depends on the type of course & used or blasted, powder coated & ready to build.

I try to keep inventory in stock for 70-71. ;-)

See what he's after & contact me with his needs I guess & we'll take it from there.

I plan to obtain and send pics of my bucket seats tomorrow. I'm still out of town.

No rush on my part, but I will be home tomorrow.
=============
Attached pics of my bucket seats. They're suppose to be abody seats. Can you tell from what year car? I'd like to use in my Demon. It will either have '71 or '72 interior. Will either year covers fit properly?
Thanks
Todd

Spring & attaching system in back is not 70-71-72 & I am not sure when they went to that latch style.

I see evidence there that someone put older used covers on these frames, so the upholstery pattern is not a good age guide for the frames.

Black tag, last photo, check the date code.

Hi, I have 1 Passenger 1972 Duster seat which I believe is the same foam and seatback for a later 71(non metal hinge covered type) I am outside Philadelphia off Pa. Turn pike near Morgantown Pa. $225 and we could meet in between if interested. Medallions are in excellent condition. Foam is great and springs are not rusty. It's originally white someone painted black it will need new seat studs in track. Thanks.

Will check date code when I get back home and get back to you.

Got a photo of that one with the plastic back off?

Not that it's nice but the Seat back was gonna crack trying to get it off. I left it alone but could pull out the top part to see that the foam it is clean and soft behind the seat back with no nesting/chewing from critters...

Did you see any springs or just foam?

If just foam, it is 1972 or newer & will not work with the older foam styles.

Thanks it is just foam..while I did not know that about the foam. I knew it was 1972 Duster by the seat cover which is still the original..

Here is the info from the metal tag under my bucket seat. It doesn't make sense to me, but maybe you can determine the year bucket seats from the tag info.
3765116 26135 55 HBB
TY!

Interesting, no date code there. The part number 3765116 is not in my 1970-71 parts book & I do not have any newer books to check for you.

If I get time to get a ladder out & check newer seats I have stashed in the loft I can look to see if I have any original sets with that number just for fun.
