In the process of a 440 build with 10.35 to 1 compression, 30' over speed pro fordged pistons with either 452 or 906 heads with a mild loopy hydrolic cam.
What aluminum intake do you recommend and or what are you running and what carburation are you using..

Edelbrock Performer RPM and Street Avenger 870 carb or Holley Street Dominator and Street Avenger 870 carb. The RPM will be easier to tune and maybe a little more snappy depending on the gears and convertor choices.

2200 stall to start.. and suregrip 8 3/4 3.55s

RPM will be a little better in terms of throttle response given the mild gear and low stall.

I have a torker II and a eddy 750 works good for me.
if it were me , I`d run the rpm if I had to buy one. I run a torque 2 w/ the plenum opened up, and the four corner runners opend up as much as possible. they are the low flow runners on it.

Torker II with 750 DP works well, and M1 with 750 DP. Find one on CL for low budget.

If you have a limited budget, then X2 on the Street Dominator.

I use the Edelbrock RPM intake with an 850 Quick fuel. Runs great on the street and track.

Performer rpm on my buddys polara with a big voodoo stick in a 65 polara, it went 13.75 last weekend! It works!

Edelbrock Performer RPM and Street Avenger 870 carb or Holley Street Dominator and Street Avenger 870 carb.

x2

I'd have more stall in that thing though. My stock pickup truck stalls at 2500RPM.

Actually the Edelbrock Performer (non-RPM) works surprisingly well also. It's a lot like the
revered CH4B. A 750 cfm carb won't be too small.
