I saw that, but don't know much about Darts, and what would make it a GTS, thought somebody in the know could pull it right off the vin!!
Should be LS23P, GT Sport or GTS would have come with a 340
Well, P is the 340 engine in 69, no S tho!!

my car is a 1969 dart GT ---the vin starts with LP23 (dart premium, 2 door hardtop)
gt did not come with the 340--largest engine was 318

S is the GT Sport or GTS. The P denotes premium Dart which would of had a 318. The LP could have come with a 3 or 4 speed. The vin stated above with the M wouldn't be correct given that the M denotes Polara or Superbee.
E55 denotes 340
