Built in work benches, what have you done?

Sometimes you can get scratch n dent countertops at Lowes and Home Depot. Easy to wipe off.

No pic, but I'll try to describe it well enough.
Built my first 8-foot long workbench in my 2-car garage when I moved into the house years ago. Built it in the front corner of the garage with 2x4s ledgers lag-bolted through the drywall directly into the wall studs. Then built a framework that sits on top of two wall-mounted ledgers and is supported by only a single 4x4 leg on the outside corner away from the two walls. Two sheets of 3/4 plywood top the framework.
Sturdy as can be all these years later - and it's been hammered on over the years.
Without additional legs and and shelves underneath, there's plenty of storage room for engines, etc.
Planning on building a roller-work table with two shelves and a heavy-duty top that will store under the workbench but still be able to roll to wherever in the garage I may need to work.
