My S was fast becoming a pig, I had to do something. Since he was already supplying me with the 3.09 gearset, I asked him to throw that and one of his aluminum sidecovers in as well, and saved a million dollars in shipping, customs, excise and whatever else YR mentioned.I saved so much that day, I was able to treat my self to some cocoa, some Snickers AND hootch,..lol. Actually it did allow me to leave the 2.66 tranny together for resale so, some day I guess I'll list it for sale,lol . That was 2004....................
I seem to remember the all-C.I.,long-tail 833 being around 118 lbs. So if you are hoisting that up and in, holding it there with one arm, while engaging the clutch with the other; and live through it?, you are doing super. Whatever you are eating, don't stop.
BTW, I cheat; I install line-up pins in the lower two holes. For me it's; up, onto the pins, spin the m/s to engage the clutch, and slam her home; 1-2-3-4, Shazzam! Takes about as long to do,as it takes me to type this bit out.OK,WAIT, that was over 10 years ago, I was a lot younger in those days.
