A904 SUPER Servo. low/rear question

Can you answer the tf2. Shuft kit questions? On my 73 a904 the separator plate. Has no hole R. BUT I WILL HAVING BE A HOT ROD AND A STALL CONVERTER. Staets to drill. If doing so. But on page 4 states dril lube hole. And install white spring. And 3/8 ball. But states 68-76 has bypass ball and sprinf DO STEP 1. ???? Are talking page 1? Step 1 drillinh seperator plate? Then i need to relocate ball to, oter area of channek casting. See pics
