oil sale at napa

What are the zinc levels, shear strength calculations, micron measurements, and radiotron isotope level lab results of this oil?

Just kidding, thanks for sharing.

Just picked up 5 @$2.99 (total $16.30).

I asked the manager who manufactures it before putting their name on it. He said Valvoline.

That's good to know. Since it went in my friend's van (which her oil pump went out on the way home) I didn't think to ask that.

An update: Napa has it on sale again for $2.99. I noticed the bottles were updated with "Developed by Valvoline" displayed prominently on them now. I got 9 for my wife's E350 (an 8.5 quart oil change ouch!). It's API SN oil.

Update on the napa synthetic oil. Both the wife's Mercedes and our Mazda started having valvetrain noise by 2000 miles. Checked the oil and it was HAMMERED. Went back to M1 and three thousand + later it sounds/looks great.

Not the most scientific analysis but obviously there is a difference. I have used Valvoline Synthetic (I usually just buy whatever major brand is on sale) and did not have the same results as the NAPA labeled syn.

Just my observations.
