For the power level you are looking at go w/ the smoother option, I don't think you would benefit and the drivability is more important.
I think 3.55:1 vs. 3.73:1 in this relatively light car is going to be pretty imperceptible, I would lean towards the 3.55:1 especially since you want to do Power Tour type driving.
