318 X block

-
He said it magged out good

Magging it is one thing. It won't tell you how thick the cylinder walls are. Chrysler says they are only good to a 4.00 bore but I had three of them sonic tested and all would go well over that. There may be some out there that won't.

The block I'm using now is at 4.04 but I didn't sonic it yet. If I go to a 4.125 bore with it I will check it.

I just had him mag it for cracks or damage. I would sonic it if I was going to use it for myself but I already have my set up for my car so I'm passing the block along to someone else. I have 3 people in line to make me an offer via PM. I'll pick it up tomorrow and get some pics

I think it would sonic better than most people think it would. It's just Chrysler made a big deal out of the 4.00 bore maximum so I just like to point it out.

Still trying to find my profile so X block specs.

I must be making it harder than it is.

I've got a set of 12 to 1 pistons and aluminum rods combo for a 4.04 bore for that block

I clicked on my profile and I don't see anything.

Ok. Sounds easy.

Hi, I read the blocks had a higher nickel content. Also the bores were cast oval , with more material in the thrust areas.. I had my x block bored to 4.0" .
