Passon or Tremec TKO 5 speed gear box consideration.

Have you thought about Passon's 4 speed overdrive ? On a budget ? We put one in a 73 Cuda and it worked out great.That will be a direct bolt in and all you would have to buy is the tranny and maybe the shift arms.I had a TKO in a B body and a A body..Yes the floor needs to be worked.Never did like the way it shifted, and it would grind during a power shift.Tremec may have fixed that by now.What we found out you always run out of road when you got your foot in it before you ever hit high gear.So it was 1,2,3,OD for me ! Just something to think about but, if the funds are there,,,,Shoot for the Stars !!

I am leaning towards the Passon 5 speed. I was thinking about the 4 speed overdrive. Jamie told me that he would take my 833 box and put his gear set in it. However that only puts my engine at 2425 rpm for 60mph. Since I'm thinking that I'm gonna keep this car for a long time I figure that eventually premium gas will be above $4 per gallon. By getting the 5 speed which will give me 60mph at 2100 rpm I'll save gas in the long run thus saving cash down the road. Pay for it now or later plus with the 5 speed less wear and tear on my engine. Thanks for your opinion.
