hi All

I getting to the point of putting in the new headliner ( 5 bows )
Do i need to remover the front and back windshields ? and if i do have to pull the windshields whos makes a good gasket ?
if so i should do my new top as well i think

When the factory put them in the glass was out. With the glass out it makes putting in a, nice looking/wrinkle free, headliner easier. Pulling the glass might open another can of worms. Water leaks that is.
 
Ive done it with the glass in place you just have to find a tool to tuck it up under the rubber gasket to engage the metal teeth. I personally used a plastic kitchen spatula and it worked great. Slim and stiff enough to get it done without risk of tearing the headliner.
 
ok next week head liner and new top goes on ... window gaskets now ... whos makes the better gaskets front and rear ????? and should remove my own glass ???
 
Its easy to remove your own glass. If your reusing the same glass I usually cut the old gasket where it goes over the edge of the glass. It comes out easier with no worries of cracking and your replacing the gasket anyway
