Any way to seal up frost plugs?

I have a slight seep on the right rear frost plug on my 383. Motor only has 500 miles on it since being totally rebuild. Its coming from around the outside of the plug. (just enough to piss me off) lol

You can use the powder radiator stop leak. I used it on my leaking heater core in my 94 van 6 months ago and still not leaking

Will that cause any cooling issues? Gunking things up?

It used to be called Silver Seal I think, and that stuff does work good for those kinds of leaks.
Still is called Silver Seal.:D

I was going to mention that it doesn't make a mess like some of the other stuff, and doesn't plug other things up.
As a matter of fact you will probably never know it's there, as it is just a silver colored powder.

Nope,it works like a charm. I would let it settle for a while before you do any hole shots and blow it back out. I bought mine from Walmart for like $3-4. It works by getting the engine warm enough to open the thermosat, pour it in and drive it for a few mile round trip if you can.

Do they still make that?

Wife's Bronco had a small leak in the radiator (I really should replace the radiator) I used the old "tablespoon of black pepper from the kitchen into the radiator" trick and it has been good for 2 years. lol

We used to use pepper in some of our heavy equipment, and it does work.

They sell a rubber plug with a screw expander too. My Dart had rusted freeze plugs from the PO using water in the rad, so I punched out the offending plug and replaced it with the above attachment. Problem solved.

Just grab any brand of the powder for stop leak. They all do the job.

The rubber plugs do work but are only a temporary fix.

I've had good luck with the brass plugs ( or brass color at least ) that have a closed nut for expanding in the hole.

They sell plugs for like $1. Save your money on the sealants and do it right.

Well, we could say doing right is pulling the motor and changing them all.
Maybe he's not up to doing that right now.

Damn things are all new! Was dealt a bad hand and one is leaking LOL
