Hidden radio?

-
My dad and I helped my buddy modify his center buddy seat to hold audio deck in his 67 barracuda notchback, looks pretty good.

I have a secret audio hidden under the dash

I have a Pioneer unit in my trunk, with a hard wired remote under the dash. Think it is actually a boat application. Works real well.

Would you happen to have pics? How do you like it?
I thought about getting a abs plastic glove box liner and maybe mounting a radio in there
I am not around car now but the only thing you see is the small display mounted under ashtray area and the remote. It does a good job. I still have the original so you can't really tell that it is not the one working. You can mount it anywhere out of sight.

we have a radio under the seat of jamies dart.. a cord runs up to my phone and i play pandora while driving... one of these days i'll buy a radio for it that has bluetooth.

This exactly what I did on y 73 Duter. The system is a complete am/fm/cd/Bluetooth/satellite system with mini satellite antenna on dash at the windshield line. Stock am radio in the dash. The only problem with this system is that remote is IR so love box needs to be open if I want o change anything. I generally just keep it on Sirius Sixties on Six. I cut out the back of the glove box and formed a bracket from thin aluminum sheet (riveted to roof of box) and covered with adhesive felt paper. I do have a/c so it's a little tight.

- Which unit do you have? -
-- It's a AM/FM, I'm not sure what brand it is. The previous owner put it there, and it's, mostly, covered on the front, by a piece of aluminum plate, that is part of the mounting bracket. - The actual glove box is not there. Just the door, for cover.

I wouldn't do it but I also over spend a bit on my sound system and hiding it is a bit more a pain to use. I listen to a variety of music so it need tuned diff depending on music. Sometimes u just don't want 2000watts of boom in a song lol. I have about a 2000$ system in my van and will be spending about the same in my dart

the remote on Secret Audio is wireless and will pickup 50' away

Here is mine on my 66 Dart.

I think its very clean looking and it was all done with scrap metal I had laying around. I have more pics if you want to see them.

I have a Pioneer deck hidden in the glove box with the original AM radio still in the dash. It looks stock & sounds great.

You can buy an IR repeater that plugs into the rear of your deck & then route it wherever you'd like so you don't need the glove box door open for the remote to function.

Here 'ya go. Mine is mounted as high and as far to the left as possible for clearance...

Thanks! Thats what i thought of doing. I may pick up one of those plastic liners from apipco and fasten the radio to it similar to what you have done
