Hi , im hoping theres someone on here that can help with some problems im having with my 07 5.7 ram engine and rfe545 .Hotwire harness
When I installed the engine , i had an un known computer that cycled the start system and cranked but had no signal to the coil packs. Turned out the security was enabled .
Ordered a replacement from hotwire and when received it it started the engine first hit and i turned it off to check for leaks etc and when i attempted to start it , something fried and there was no earth circuit to earth the fuel pump and asd relays.
Ive shorted them through the relays to get it to run , which it does .... sometimes.
The start cycle only happens spazmodically. When the throttle body and fuel pump dont cycle , it wont start. Turning the key to on and off doesnt help unless you crank the starter at the same time and then it sometimes starts and runs perfectly.
I thought there may be a dry joint in the computer so ordered another one from hotwire.
I fitted it today and it is completely dead apart from the crank circuit , either with or without my wiring mods.
Theres no earth to the asd circuit this time.

so as it is now , ive got 3 computers that all have different faults and none work properly.
I cant believe there is something in my wiring that isnt correct when all faults appear to be different
Any ideas??
