Making new partition for back seat/trunk area

Must vary a lot by climate. My original was a bit beat up, but otherwise completely intact. I replaced it with a new factory style one off ebay. I think it was $30 shipped. If I didn't already have that one I probably would have grabbed a near perfect one I saw in a yard this past summer. I think I saw them on DMT too

My car originally came from California and AFAIK was never east of Colorado. When I got the car the driver's door panel was already gone and the passenger side was in bad shape; I broke a corner off just trying to remove it but I did save it. The trunk divider was almost impossible to get out without breaking it. I'm going after something better than factory for sound-deadening and heat insulation which was kind of a joke on these cars anyway. I plan to cover as much of the interior with the aluminum roofing repair stuff as possible; did the roof a couple years ago and that made a huge difference especially for heat in the sun, next I want to do trunk divider and under the rear seats/wheelwells area. The doors need it badly but I need to fix my flimsy-*** door glass hardware first lol.
