What have you guys used for plugging the aerial hole on your fender? Something nicer than a plastic body plug? Don't want to weld it up, in case a radio goes back in sometime.

Unscrewed antenna, then cut the plastic portion if the antenna base flush with screw on plug. Pushed a chrome plug fitting completely flush with the screw on portion. Been that way for 10 years.
Just looks like a flush chrome cap where there used to be a stick antenna.

Yes ^^^^^^ just what Pace shows at the local hardware store like Ace or True Value. Stainless to boot.

Cut a piece of 1/4" aluminum 1/4" larger than hole , drill hole in center for a #10-24 stainless cap screw . Cut a second piece in a rectangle same size but narrower with a hole in center for the #10-24 . Cut a piece of rubber roofing larger tan the hole but smaller than the first piece of aluminum . punch hole in the center of the rubber . push cap screw through top piece of alloy and cap screw . send cap screw thru second piece of alloy . Insert bottom piece of alloy in fender hole , turn 90* , tighten cap screw , snug not hard . You are done , watertight , polish to luster if you want . Materials <$2.00 , Time 1 hour tops

Stainless steel cap screw and washer, rubber washer underneath so no scratch antenna base.
Used large fender washer with nut so I could use original base mounting bracket under fender.

Most 80's dodge trucks with radio delete have a fake plastic antenna plug. They're out there
