1968 Barracuda options
"Win You Over Special"/ "Success Celebration" spring special 68 Barracudas all included a combination of popular options together in a package. All were easilly identifiable as they all had red reflective tape on the trunk lid between the tail lights and all had chrome plating on the plastic vertical bar grilles. The chrome plated plastic grilles and the red reflective tape on the trunk were not available as separate options. They were only installed on the spring special cars. Of course, over time the chrome plating eventually wore off the vertical plastic bars of the grilles leaving most to be indistinguishable from the standard unplated plastic grilles.
Incidently, in the description for the coupe, these spring special coupes came with the painted upper body accent stripes (pin stripes). The accent stripes were a regular option just as the sport stripes were, yet I didn't see the accent stripes listed as an option on the pages of the 1969 Plymouth Data Book.
