1965 dart charger 273

-
Reason for I need to sell the car is just don't have the time and money to put in the car. I rather sell it and let someone els enjoy making this car beautiful again. I would love to but at this point in life I can. So if anyone is interested let me know thank you all.
how much you need?

Purists may dislike the decisions I've made to a real Dart Charger, but it's my car and I'll do what I wish with it.

No complaints here.

What are the emblems under the Dart Charger fender badges? 273 4-barrel?

Wish you were closer, I would have liked to help. You did great with the car. I like the brake set-up. This isn't easy or cheap. The interior looks nice. Different headers?

I have no idea why these cars were so poorly documented from Chrysler. I use the Go-Go image as it is factory document. A similar car appeared in the 1964 Worlds Fair, maybe no mags.

Fortunately Ulf has done some tireless work over the last ten or so years. I have not found a forum or blog he has not inquired into, including I think the Mustang and Camaro guys.

Try Racing Junk, ebay, moparts, what ever you need to do to get it sold.
I am on the east coast and the cars are unique and rare.
Hit a couple regional car shows with car corrals, etc.
I think you have to make your own market with this car.
Your car is one of seventeen or so remaining.
You may have to trade and sell the trade. Whatever you have to do.
I don't think the price is absurd considering the rarity. I don't know what you can get, but I would try to beef up the rarity in the ad. If you can borrow a different set of rear wheels,... etc to broaden the market etc. Understand that the body work needed and the lack of paint will limit the appeal but the car is the car and given the right effort, advertising and marketing you may get decent money. I think the local CraigsList may be limiting the advertising.
Good luck.

Put together a ad and put it in the Mopar cars for sale section. This build thread is too complete to change it to a sale thread. You will have better luck there. tmm

This reminds me of the two happiest days of a boat owners lifel: the day they bought it and the day they sell it.
I would enjoy driving it for a while if I were you. You don't need to fix it up.

Had a guy come and check out the car to day look really interested in it but then only offered me 1k for the car. I told him really can't go lower then 5k for the car. Needless to say instill have the car.

Have YOU done any of the things below?

If YOU have too, put it on eBay. Maybe you will get a contact at least. I have seen a couple Dart Chargers end up on eBay. Good money. (At least vs 1k)

Again you don't see any of these cars on the east coast due to rust. They are rare.
If YOU have to sell the car, Help yourself. If you need me to help you put together an ad ,PM me. I have seen cars sit on here for sale. No interest. Don't take it personal.

65ChargerDart - your car looks great. I like the dual cut outs. I did that when painted. Left the single exhaust on mine, for now. I am switching to the dual circuit brakes, finally. I think mine was a street racer. Most mods are bolt on, even Sebring seats. My car was a 65 with the dealer kit. Arkansas car, in black with white top and interior. When you bought your first one, was it a loud version? Straight through exhaust? They said the dealer would pay for the noise ticket? The four speed had to be tough on the 7 1/4.
Yes, it was very loud for a stock exhaust. Got a ticket but took a statement from Chuck Hutton Dodge to court and the judge dismissed the case. It was ridiculous for Chrysler to have ever put a 7.25 diff in a 4 speed 273-4bbl car. For all the spider gears they put in my car they could have replaced the 7.25 with an 8.75 posi rear. Had I known better at the time I would have paid for an 8.75 posi diff but I was young and ignorant then.
