please help me with a shopping list? lol

That radiator won't fit unless you increase the front opening it's 26 wide I believe your car is 22

The "stand alone" system, does it do away with the drive by wire throttle body? Also is there a transmission kick down cable in this recipe?

I don't think I saw in your post whether you have a truck engine or a car engine?

Makes a big difference in radiator choice as the water pump outlets are on different sides...

See my above post, most important thing is if you have a truck or a car engine.

I have found the following while mocking up my 2003 5.7 Hemi (truck engine). See my thread on here for more info.
- Don't need the oil pick up support stud, truck engine already has this
- The factory oil pan bolts on my engine work fine with my Milodon 31000. You can also use the factory oil pan gasket/windage tray just fine.
- I'm using a newer oil filter (same one my 2016 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi uses) that is smaller and fits right in the factory spot with no adapter. I'm using a Slant 6 K-member with Schumacher conversion motor mounts.
- And finally, once again, truck engines have the water pump outlet coming out on the drivers side, not the passenger side.

Borgeson has also recently updated their steering box design. I think myself and a few other members on the board have the updated design already (released at the beginning/middle of last year).

I'm currently working with Schumacher to help finalize their new Tri-Y header design for 5.7 hemis in A-bodys with the borgeson box (not on their website yet, again see my thread for more info/pics). I think they'll fit better than the TTIs, clears all the steering linkage perfectly, and allows installation/removal of the starter without dropping the header.

Most harnesses revolve around using the newer coil pack setup that you already have on your engine ('06+) that fire both spark plugs on the same cylinder at the same time, versus the older style that had plug wires running over the intake ('03-'06). You should be ok there, just make sure the harness is for '03-'08 engines, not '09+ with VVT (commonly referred to as the "Eagle" engines).

How can i keep in contact with you? Lol
im clearly going to need a lot of help and the more people that can help me step by step the better. Lol
i appreciate the help and knowledge :)
Thank you!

i wonder if you could get a carb and distributor conversion and just run the whole engine off one wire?

Yes, people have done these with carbs. Costs about the same or a little more but you lose the fuel efficiency.

My 71 slant six Dart has the narrow opening as I am sure you can imagine. I plan on opening that up to fit the 26" radiator.

No reason that can't be done on his.

Theres a rad that someone makes for this. I just have to contact him. Its on another g3 swap thread in here

The problem is similar to asking a mechanic what tools and how to do a job. He may do the job entirely differently and use totally different tools than you.

Much the same way no two people build cars alike. It's not about being an asshole, it's about giving good advice.

If you want motor mounts, for example, simply type "3rd generation Hemi swap mounts" into your address bar and hit enter.

Here is what I got in 2 seconds.

Google

This is why you are getting smartass replies. Because it takes 2 seconds or less to have hundreds of links at your fingertips.

Good luck with your project.

The mounts were only an example. You can replace mounts with anything and search in the same way.

The Gen 3 swap radiators in 26" are readily available on ebay. Read the feedback, ask around, check yelp! I have read a lot of nightmare stories about ebay radiators and chinese welded radiators. I got mine from a place out of Lake Elsinore in Southern California. I am pretty sure they have several ebay shops. I have not installed the radiator in my dart as I am stalled due to lack of funds, I did however buy a 3 row 26" radiator from them for my 72 Dodge van a few months ago and it works great. You can buy from them direct if you like instead of through ebay.

I don't think it's fair to give smart-*** replies. Sure he can Google in 2 seconds and get hundreds of links and try to figure out what's what, which components work with others (i.e. do you need TTI mounts to run TTI headers? Or can you run Schumacher mounts with those headers?). A lot of the information isn't clear, and some isn't even true (hey it IS the internet). I've read you can run an old Gen II Hemi flexplate on a Gen III Hemi. You can't. Bolt pattern isn't even close, and no room to redrill. People say you also HAVE to run a block off plate for the oil filter. You certainly don't.

While some people may not agree with him, I think he's looking for a cookie cutter recipe to put a 5.7 Hemi in his car. He doesn't care if it's unique or some one-off build, he wants an idea of what components work together and what doesn't. I think that's fair, so I shared what I've learned. I think it will also help others looking for an easy way to throw a 5.7 Hemi in their car, and what's wrong with that? Sure every car is different, but for the most part there are certain components that work and some that don't.

I've been a member of a Jeep board for about 11 years and people often told people to do the same "SEARCH". Guess what? If everyone just searches, no one is posting.

No one has talked sbout this....Make sure your 727 is the small block version. Except for one bolt, the Gen 3 Bellhousing area pretty much matches the small block flange.
The big block 727 has a different bolt pattern.

Theres a guy i have to contact who makes rads for the dart 22" i believe. I just have to find the other thread again and contact him. He has an ebay store. I could be wrong but i think its champion.

Yes thats the exact thread i was talking about. Thank you.
any feedback on tgat second option? I've never heard of them.

Tincup had a custom radiator made by Northern (solid oem type manufacturer) for his build way back. My take is they took his measurements and made a standard production piece from it, which is now sold by a variety of vendors. Northern part # 205199, universal parts gives it their own part # CR3239-1. Either, Northern or Champion, appear to have the same fan mounts. Northern has a shroud kit with a 16" spal fan or dual 10" fans that is supposed to work with the CR3239-1.
