Manual steering box that came off my 69 big block Dart chart says it fits a 66-79 Mopar A B C E body. Shop cleaned it painted it and then wanted to rebuild it due to a drip a week leak on the museum floor. I didn't notice any slip or play in the gear box before removal.... I bought one already rebuilt. Asking $ 65 OBO + shipping box is 11x11x8 and it weighs 14lbs for shipping calculations. Part is located in Cicero NY 13039 I have pay pal for payment please pm with questions..

Might I ask..Whats the difference between a big block and one from a /6 or SB?

I don't know enough about Chrysler engineering or Mr. Norms to know what they had to do to get a Big Block under the hood all I can tell you is its not pretty, including the design of the exhaust manifold on the drivers side to make room for the steering shaft to tie into the steering box that cost 5 horsepower due to the restriction bringing it from 335 to 300. Should we even bring up the 893 holly grail oil pan.. and the linkage issues guys have when they put a big block in a car that had a different engine in it... I can tell you it a lot closer to the ex manifold that on a SB or other engine.. more heat? not to mention the extra weight it drive differently... they only did it a few years!!!!

I attached a pic to show you how close the fit is on the steering gear box is, it was cramped trying to get a good pic. if you notice the motor mount in the pic that's the motor mount that is listed in year one and other catalogs as were not sure what it fits but we have it. my original mount had a stiff arm welded onto it going up to a bolt hole higher on the block as a torque strap, and there was also a section of chain fashioned In there, guess the had to chain the beast down...lol. This was a drag car at one point and to get the headers in the fire wall, headers, and fenders all took a real beating. FYI to change the starter the motor had to come out...

In 1967 Chrysler said they couldn't put a big block in an a body and Mr Norms proved that to be false, I think what they meant to say was they didn't want to put a big block in an a body... there are a lot of odd ball things like a weird spacers on the inboard side of the Z bar, and yup some one has them listed for 126$ but its only found on a 383 4 speed (only 64 of them left out there).
