Mopars in the Park 2017 Farmington MN

-
Who knows ! It sure would be nice to see everyone again.. Its the plain ride I don't care for .

I wil be there with my 72 Demon. Far from being a show car but I enjoy going anyway. My buddy (who has already registered) will have his 74 Duster and possibly by brother and his 67 Dart. It will be our first year with the cars but our third year total. Awesome event!!

Do any of you know or have experience with camping at the Fairgrounds? I emailed them as well but have not heard anything back. I would hate to wait too long. Find out I would be better off getting a hotel and not getting one fairly close to the show. I know it is plenty early yet but I am kind of pumped for the show this year.
.........................
Last year I went down on a Friday night and slept in my truck both Fri and Sat. night. Hotel and Camping Information – Midwest Mopars in the Park..... hope this helps.

They just emailed me back. They have about 90 campers there, $35 per day, electric and water if you bring long enough hose and cord, and can come anytime that week. Just to inform others that may be curious.

Hotel is booked, were staying at the America Inn in Apple Valley again, still had rooms available on Monday when I called, I believe we have 5 cars coming this year, always a great time!!

We need to get together and make it out to the Mopar Ponderosa. I don't have a clue how to get there. Last year my group left and I said I will catch up. I got lost and we ended up in town for some good Pizza. The Ponderosa is quite a place. You have to experience it at least once.

I am going but since its in my home town not a big deal lol. Looks like they are advertising a 3 day event this year. 2-4 of June. Usually its only two days.

Pretty sure I won't be driving the Barracuda there this year because I just put in on the Rotisserie... but look for a bitchin' '78 Dodge Street Van, parked in the A-body area at least part of the time, with cooler full of Coors Light and a turntable spinnin' some classic rock! The van will look MUCH different by the time of the show. Going full-tilt on both projects right now!

I just got my flier in the mail for MITP!!! This year it included an insert on how to properly class your vehicle. Now, I understand why they have this, but I dont agree with it. According to the insert my car belongs in the Custom Class. :realcrazy:

Those of you that plan on going, Im curious... technically where does your car belong, and where are you going to park it:poke:????

My car belong's on a drag strip lol!! They tried giving us **** last year about that too, there are very very few car's that would make it in the stock 100 or 200 class, we register in 100, but technically Sam's car should be in convertible class. From what I hear, they have always had rules on classes of car's, nobody really follows them. I think they should have designated areas for car club's too, that way we could all park in one area so we don't have to walk so far to get a beer from Keith LOL!!

I remember something about them trying to crackdown on the classes last year, but I ignored it. I just dont recall them having this point sheet the last few years. I just think its ridiculous how they try to break up the classes so much. It would probably be easier if it was broken up into judged and not judged.

Anyways, I registered today. I'm #203 in the Plymouth class.

I cant wait until Doug, brings his van and parks it by us. LOL

Me too, he can prolly get lot's of beer in that thing, if I was him I would just sleep right in that lol! Last year there was a 70 challenger parked by us , his buddy was in A100 class, I was told you don't have to be in judged class, it's cheaper to get in I guess too??? I know 2 or three years ago someone told me that.

it doesn't look like they are doing the no judge cheaper entry this year. I think it was on the registration form last year.

I really don't care what section I'm in as long as I'm parked next to most of the group. Looking like the majority of the fabo members would be in sections 1800-1900.
Let me know what everyone plans to do.
