Really didn't want to sell but throwing it out there. '76 Dart sport , originally a slant 6/ manual on the floor car. I don't know if it had a 3 speed or 4 speedOD trans, bought it rolling, floor hump and clutch pedal are still there as well as some clutch linkage in the trunk. Previous owner said it was a Dart Sport Lite, I think it's a Spirit of '76 edition because of the red, white, and blue striping in the middle of the seats, It still has it's original bucket seat interior. The outside has been repainted a dark grey color. There's some filler in lower quarters and some other misc. spots on the car. Frame and floors are solid. Someone cut a hole in the hood when there was a dual snorkle scoop on it, has been removed somewhere along the line. Car still has small bolt pattern front and rear but comes with a A body 8 3/4 housing, redrilled big bolt axles, and I also have a low milage 318 and 904 that I will let go. This car has a clean New York title.Car is located in Western New York, between Buffalo and Rochester.Asking $2500 for everything listed. Will get some pics up tomorrow.Pm with any interest.

A31 is suppose to be the Dart Lite fender code if the tag is still there. Put a magnet to the underside of the trunk and hood bracing. Hood would also be crimped to the aluminum underside bracing as well if it's a Dart Lite. The inside bumper reinforcements would be aluminum too. (The part between the bumper itself and the "shock absorber" bumper brackets.) Dart Lite would have been a 4-speed with overdrive or auto. No 3-speed sticks.

It could be a Dart Lite with the Spirit of '76 option.

Locomotion, thanks for the info. I will check these things and post what I find out.I tried looking for info on these cars yesterday and didn't find much.

The fender tag is still on the car and there is a A31 code on it and , the hood edges are crimped to the bottom support, so, I'm going to say it is a Dart Sport Lite.

Double-check the trunk underside with a magnet. I was buying some parts off of a Lite years ago and it happen to have an all-steel trunk lid. Factory may have run out of the steel/aluminum ones. Definitely makes it more sellable as a Lite with the correct parts!

My Dart Lite has a "steel" hood. Mine is a very early unit, build date is late 75. Perhaps they didn't have the trunk lids ready for early models...

Looks like you can't rule anything out!
It's been said that a similar situation existed with Challengers and shaker hoods. They ran short and substituted T/A hoods instead for a while.
