Early A vs. 67-72 A motor mounts

The R brackets look identical, and the rubber mounts look like they would work on both. I wonder if the triangle corners on the newer mounts are needed for clearance or just to save a little weight. Anyway, would probably work on my 1964 slant.

The L brackets look quite different, but the bolt holes appear to be in the same locations, so "should work". There is often a side hole in that bracket for a brace rod from the AC compressor, as I recall. I don't see such hole in either bracket, but it could cause problems for some swaps. The L rubber mount tends to separate under hard throttle. I had that in my 69 Dart. You see the engine lift up from the split mount under throttle, which explained a strange clunking sound when leaving a stop light.
