For all those who want to put 18" wheels on a 68 barracuda, it will work if you have a set up similar to mine. 73+ disk brake conversion on front, 8 3/4 rear end with aftermarket disc brakes. I put 17x 8 wheels on the front with 215/45/17 nitto 555, rear has 18"x8 wheels in the back with nitto 245/40/18 with no issues, 4.5" bs on both.

Love silver with red stripe and interior.

Any pics of it outside?

Love the look,I have 17x8 Coys all the way around my 73 Duster.....................................................Jeff

Rears need a larger wheel or a higher profile tire IMO. Front looks fine but the rear just doesn't quite look right to me for some reason. It just looks like it needs filled in back there. Could be the ride height or something. But other than that small detail, that's one sharp car! Thanks for sharing.

More pictures! When posting car ****, we need LOTS of it.

I would go with a higher profile tire. I don't think you gain enough handling for the comfort you give up with those rubberbands.

Looks good. You helped me out a lot, I was trying to figure out this exact same thing for my 1968 Barracuda.

In reference to the back wheels, they are 18" , the front are 17" , if I buy new tires I will go with a 255/45/18 instead of a 40, that's why it leave more space in the fender weld than I would like, maybe someone will benefit from this post.

I thought so too, lucky I was able to swap to a bigger tire for less than $100 for switching to a 255/45/18 , new look is better.

The car looks great. Is it mini tubbed and or springs relocated, or just factory?

Ok , normally I don't like stuff like this, but, you got me, she's a beauty.
agreed, don`t usually like taller wheels on older cars, but yours looks better than most. my preference is a standard heighth wheel w/ the biggest tire u can get under it.

I just gotta know what color is on your car. that is a really sweet...

Gold Leaf, it's actually a Ford color, hey, I bought the car with this paint job, thanks for the comment.
DO YOU KNOW THE YEAR OF THE COLOR AND PAINT CODE NUMBER? I HAVE A 68 DART GT THAT IS RESALE RED AND IT JUST HAS TOO MUCH RED FOR ME. I KNOW CHANGING COLORS IS A ***** BUT, DAMN YOUR CAR LOOKS GREAT WITH THAT COLOR. I THOUGHT MAYBE A BLACK OR MAROON BUMBLE BEE STRIPE ACROSS THE REAR WOULD LOOK GOOD WITH THAT COLOR. CAN YOU PM ME WITH SOME CLOSER UP PHOTOS AND THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT? I REALLY WOULD APPRICIATE IT. BRIAN
