head porting

Jmaloy, considering the cams lift, some head work would help. The valve job is responsible for flow to approx. a .400 lift and then the heads port becomes more important after that. A typical street porting would be very good here IMO. If the heads are stock, and you do not mind upgrading valves, I myself would be looking at;

New stainless valves w/a valve job of course. Porting under the valve, the bowl area and upwards a bit including a good touching up of the short side radius of the port. Gasket matching is a plus but only a small one that doesn't hurt.
This, will add a noticable improvement. Not huge, but noticable.

Dvorak is a very worthy place to travel to.
