So here is what the offset roller lifters look like installed in a 360 with the Hughes BigMouth heads. They run an offset roller rocker and it does not line up with the lifter very well, much like any W Series or Indy setup. Well as you can see, these help straighten the pushrod out quite a bit. We have been using them in BBM for many years, and have used quite a few now in the SBM. This setup is using a 3/8 pushrod, and YES it does clear. On some of the W stuff and Indy stuff, there may be a need for some light clearancing of the top of the lifter, and possibly the lifter bore itself if running a Magnum or R block with tall bores.

Lobe lift with this cam is .418" and everything clears everywhere. No grinding of the block either, these lifters drop right in.

Thanks for the reminder. I had forgotten you had the offset lifters for the small block.

Yup. Its an old bottom end, with a new top end. New heads and custom cam. I have a lot of intake porting to do yet.

Damn, T&D says T/A offset was .450 but that sounds more than I remember.

There is a set in the shop somewhere I may go dig them out and measure them just for kicks.

And evidently, HS says .500 offset.

WTH?

I'll try and look it up in my old book. I hate using it because it's damn near worn out.
If I didn't think it would lose all it's pages like leaves in the fall, I'd scan mine cover to cover into the PC so that didn't have to happen anymore................

Yup, trying to save all the books I have. I have almost 1000 books in my library, some are quite expensive.

I still can't find the actual Chrysler number for T/A offset. Man, I know I have in a book here somewhere, just got to find the right book.

W2 are .770 offset....

you know i got about 5 sets of w2 rocker arms..plus the original TA rockers from my AARcuda...I aint pulling these numbers out my ***...LOL....44

The Mopar Six-Pack Engine Handbook

scroll up a page and read it yourself from larry Shepard...LOL

Per the DC racing manual, the stk. R&L offsets were "about 1/16 inch". Per SA Designs "Mopar Performance"..."the W2 intake pushrods have been moved another .250" further
away from the intake port centerline than the T/A"."The total is now more than 3/4 inch from the rocker centerline."
This would indicate the .770" for the W2, ~.520" for the T/A, which is ~.460" more offset than std. J heads.
