what are my options for a mini starter. i have doug headers

For what?
Nobody that I know is a mind reader. Most people here are men that have a hard enough time trying to figure out what the wife wants, now we have to guess what you want too??

well i figured if you read the name on the thread you would of seen what it was for.. after all the thread name is 99 5.9 magnum mini starter.

I consider the starter that came out in around '88 and was used with all the Magnums a "mini starter". It's what most people use on older Mopars when headers are installed.

so the stock starter is considered a mini starter and it has the starter solenoid on it. any idea how to wire it with an after marker ez21 wire harness and how to wire the neutral safety switch to it

I used a stock Magnum starter. Think I asked for a 97 Dakota starter at the parts store, $99 for a new one.

I ask the parts store for a 1992 Dakota v8 starter and it works on my 340 duster and my 69 dart 340

the stock one for the 5.9 from 99 will work thanks for the help

Yep I bought the 99 starter and the are small and work great. I have Doug's as well

I think there are some differences through the years with the post height and other fitment issues with header brands. There must be a "almost one size fits all" mini starter through the years. The smallest dimensions and what not. The Denso 280 series seems to come in so many variations and dimensions, I dont know what model is best for my A body.
