Starting another Demon thread. this one started life as a TB3 blue, white vinyl top, slant 6 auto with air, power steering, and power brakes. The plan is to go340 auto, black with a white vinyl top, white interior and white stripes, manual steering and brakes. It was just blasted and is very solid, but found to have a bad top. whitepunkonnitro supplied the top and its already on. Also adding torque boxes, and getting rid of the air conditioning firewall. Its pretty early in the build but here it is

I gotta get one of those rotisserie deals. Maybe when I get back from the sandbox I will know if I have to move again or not. If not a nice machine shop is in order....after the wife gets her yard scape done.

Thank you, but just to be clear, I'm not doing the body work, I have a local body shop doing that for me.
 
my biggest regret at this point is just not buying a real 340. Ive always wanted a 71/72 duster/demon 340 and when I saw this for sale I got a little excited. It will be nice, but a clone. When I was 15,about 1983/84 my brother in law took me to look at a 72 340 demon, auto, red with black stripes, hood scoops, rear spoiler etc., it think they wanted around 2000 for it . when I got home, my dad flipped out and asked what the hell I would want that for! I was already working on a 67 firebird.
 
Nice! I like the correct overspray look. That's how I'll be doing mine as well.

Got the car back late last week. Turned out very nice. I've chosen Black with white top, white interior, and no hood scoop or rear spoiler for now.
 
Now that the car is back and the decals installed, the 72 340 Demons "did not" have the 340 and devil on the rear panel???????? I'm just use to seeing it there and figured I better ask now.

For some reason I want to say it should but it was a separate decal.

I haven't dove into much research on this yet, but I've seen conflicting answers. Id say it looks bare without a "Demon 340" decal, but maybe the place I purchased the decals led me to believe nothing goes on the tail. I've got plenty of time, so opinions and research are welcome.
