Thinken of geting an engine hoist,in Canada there is 2 places to choose from that is close by.Canadian tire Princees auto, anyone thing about them.

Bought the one from Canadian Tire about 7 years ago. Used it maybe 6 times and no problem. Works fine. It usually goes on sale a few times a year so if you can wait you can save a few bucks.

Bernieca just what did you pay for that 1,i sell its 369 now.I can wait no problim, thinking will need 1 in 4 mouths.

I couldnt find one on their website. Ill take a pic of one I have.
The bottom feet/legs are extendable but you have to pull them out. I like the style that the legs flip up/down for easy storage
Steve just had a look at prinsess auto 349 looks the very same as crappy tire.

Pics of mine. Plenty strong enough. You can see the legs get extended and pinned. As 451cuda said I would like the folding legs but the space I gain I would only fill with junk anyway.
Ignore orange legs In pics, thats my engine srand that the 340 is sitting on.
A coincidence, but the stand and hoist nest together pretty good.
Make sure the ground/floor is flat and sturdy.

Steve thanksssssss for the pics that front wheel looks sturdy ,princess auto sku# 8668014 i could not find it so i called them.

Would it be cheaper to have one shipped from the states?
I bought a new one a couple of years ago from Tractor Supply and it was only $180 US.

I guess we will have to wait for it,wonder how we can go about them contacting us if when they go on sale,or i guess we will have keep checking.
Crappy Tire has an app you can download on your phone and you can put things on your wish list and request "Sales Alerts" and they will email you when something on your list goes on sale. It actually works excellently - except right now, they are having technical difficulties, but it normally works great - stuff like motor oil etc. that goes on sale for 40% off, or other stuff that does for like 80% off etc. Check it out!

No such service I'm aware of at Princess but I might be wrong there.

Whatever you do, don't get one with six wheels they suck. Get one with only four.

The exchange rate is brutal right now (35%?), and unless you live close to the border (fortunately I do) and can bring things over the border yourself, then duty brokerage and other nonsense make it more worthwhile to wait at home for a sale - if youre not in a hurry.

That's good to know. Are you talking 1 ton or 2 ton? I'm thinking of a 2 ton hoist - giving a lot of thought to picking up the front of the car and slipping the new 408 in from below after the sixbangerectomy. Getting the warm and fuzzies just thinking about it!!

I am talking about any of them.
