i finally putting ( starting ) to put my 69 Dart back together ( apart since 99 / life busy , don't judge ) my question is : I'm using Cupronickel brake lines in the car and really like the stuff to work with but don't love the colour of them , can I paint them once I have them all bent up ready to go on the car ? Thought /tech ? I problem should have a build page going but so far haven't started one. Thx all for the thoughts .

Paint them before installing, much easier. Touch up after if necessary.

Even better use silicone break fluid (DOT 5) so you don't have to worry about brake fluid ruining your paint ever again!

I put paint on the lines on my truck and daily drivers. I use hi temp paint on the exhaust on them now too. With the liquid calcium they use on the roads now it almost doubles the life expectancy. Brake fluid will eat paint if it hasn't fully cured, or if it's left on it. I bend the lines, paint them, install them, and bleed. Use a piece of clear vinyl tubing on the bleeder to keep the fluid away from painted parts that haven't been heeat cycled. Use brake cleaner liberally on parts that have.
